LOCATION - Lat 45°23'04", long 97°08'39" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.2, T.122 N., R.52 W., Roberts County, SD, Hydrologic Unit 10170201, 4.5 mi northeast of Ortley, 5.0 mi west of Interstate 29, and 6.5 mi northwest of exit 207 on Interstate 29.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 57.4 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 52.4 ft, bottom of last opening 57.4 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,910.9 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of well casing, 3.92 ft above land-surface datum, Apr. 24, 2012 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 2012 to present.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder.
REMARKS - For Oct. 1, 2013 to Sept. 30, 2018, records good except those for Dec. 14 - 17, 21 - 22, 2015, Jan. 9, 16 - 17, 19, 21 - 23, Feb. 13, 2016, Dec. 8 - 19, 2016, Jan. 3 - 17, and Dec. 29, 2017, and Feb. 19, 2018 which are fair. Water levels affected by pumping of nearby wells.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 10.31 ft below land-surface datum, June 30, 2014. Lowest water level, 17.60 ft below land-surface datum, July 26, 2016.
