LOCATION - Lat 44°43'02", long 70°25'24" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Franklin County, ME, Hydrologic Unit 01040002, about 1.3 mi north of Weld. Owner: U.S. Geological Survey.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 150 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 60 ft, bottom of last opening 150 ft. Drilled observation well, cased to bedrock.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,132.07 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of steel casing, 2.0 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 9, 2001 to present. Land-surface datum is at the general land surface.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 2001 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic water-level recorder.
REMARKS - Water levels affected by earth tides. Gaps in record indicate missing data. Aquifer: Bedrock of Devonian age.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest daily water level, 16.22 ft below land-surface datum, April 24, 2019; lowest daily water level, 31.08 ft below land-surface datum, Nov. 24, 2016.
