LOCATION - Lat 41°14'24.8", long 77°46'22.0" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Clinton County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050203, at Sproul State Forest, and at State Camp.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 75 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 38 ft, bottom of last opening 75 ft. Drilled unused observation well, cased to 38 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 2,045 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: TOP OF SHELTER PLATFORM; VAL FROM LATER MP REC; CREATED FOR AQ MIGR; MODIFIED DATE; 11/18/1971, 3.2 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 1, 1950 to Jan. 1, 1992; top of shelter platform, 3.2 ft above land-surface datum, Jan. 1, 1992 to present. Elevation of land surface is from Lidar.
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1950 to March 1964, instantaneous water levels obtained several times per month. April 1964 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform with 15-minute recording interval. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Daily maximum water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily mean water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Prior to October 2000, the extremes shown were based on extremes of the daily maximum depth below land-surface datum. Since that date, the extremes are based on the instantaneous depth below land-surface datum. Highest water level, 44.00 ft below land-surface datum, Jan 13, 1951; lowest, 57.24 ft below land-surface datum, Dec 21, 1964.
