LOCATION - Lat 41°09'41.1", long 74°58'34.3" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Pike County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040104, located at Pocono Mountain Lake Estates, Pa.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 799 ft. Upper casing diameter 8 in; top of first opening 86 ft, bottom of last opening 799 ft. Drilled unused well, cased to 86 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,180 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: UNKNOWN; TRANSFER MP CREATED FOR MIGRATION, 1.4 ft above land-surface datum, Jan. 3, 1972 to Nov. 1, 1983; top of plywood shelf, 3.27 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 1, 1983 to present. Elevation of land surface is from Lidar.
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1981 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger with 15-minute recording interval.
COOPERATION - Site maintained in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Daily maximum water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily mean water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Prior to October 2000, the extremes were based on extremes of the daily maximum depth below land-surface datum. Since that date, the extremes are based on the instantaneous depth below land-surface datum. Highest water level, 24.30 ft below land-surface datum, Jun. 1, 1984; lowest recorded, 98.67 ft below land-surface datum, Sept. 10, 26-30, Oct 1, 1998.
