LOCATION - Lat 41°01'23.5", long 75°43'06.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Carbon County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040106, located at Hickory Run State Park, Pa.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 125 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 20 ft, bottom of last opening 125 ft. Drilled observation well, cased to 20 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,294 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of casing, 3.0 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 26, 1969 to May. 28, 1980; top of plywood shelf, 3.12 ft above land-surface datum, May. 28, 1980 to present. Elevation of land surface is from Lidar.
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1969 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform with 15-minute recording interval. Iridium satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Daily maximum water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily mean water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Prior to October 2000, the extremes were based on extremes of the daily maximum depth below land-surface datum. Since that date, the extremes are based on the instantaneous depth below land-surface datum. Highest water level, 18.10 ft below land-surface datum, Mar 12, 2011; lowest, 90.58 ft below land-surface datum, Jan 31, 1981.
