LOCATION - Lat 40°24'10.9", long 77°37'47.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Juniata County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050304, at State Game Land No. 215, and near Reeds Gap.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 110 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 16 ft, bottom of last opening 110 ft. Drilled observation well, cased to 18 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 638 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: TOP OF METAL CVR; VAL FROM LATER MP REC.; CREATED FOR AQ MIGR; MOD DATE FOR AQ MIGR; 5/14/1969, 3.55 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 1, 1968 to Jan. 24, 2001; top of metal cover, 3.55 ft above land-surface datum, Jan. 24, 2001 to present. Elevation of land surface is from Lidar.
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 1968 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform with 1-minute recording interval since December 14, 2016; prior recording interval was 60-minute. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Site maintained in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - This well shows significant response to Earth tides. Daily maximum water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily mean water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Prior to October 2000, the extremes were based on extremes of the daily maximum depth below land-surface datum. Since that date, the extremes are based on the instantaneous depth below land-surface datum. Highest water level, 10.65 ft below land-surface datum, Feb 7, 1996; lowest, 16.62 ft below land-surface datum, Jun 10, 1994.
