LOCATION - Lat 40°22'55.2", long 76°42'20.7" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Dauphin County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050305, at Ft. Indiantown Gap.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 141 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 17 ft, bottom of last opening 141 ft. Drilled observation well, cased to 17 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 511.2 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of casing, 3.7 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 4, 2002 to May. 9, 2006; top of shelter platform, 3.72 ft above land-surface datum, May. 9, 2006 to present. Elevation of land surface is from survey.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 15, 2002 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger with 60-minute recording interval through Feb 2, 2015; 30-minute recording interval through April 3, 2023; 15-minute recording interval April 3, 2023 to present. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Site maintained in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Water level is affected by pumping from a nearby homeowner well. Daily mean water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily maximum water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - The extremes shown are extremes of the instantaneous depth below land-surface datum. Highest water level, 5.50 ft below land-surface datum, Nov 20, 2018; lowest, 22.73 ft below land-surface datum, Oct 25, 2007.
