LOCATION - Lat 39°53'21.7", long 77°36'52.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Franklin County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02070004, near Chambersburg.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 202 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 37 ft, bottom of last opening 202 ft. Drilled unused observation well, cased to 37 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 772 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of casing, 2.90 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 15, 2001 to present. Elevation of land surface is from Lidar.
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 28, 2001 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform with 1-minute recording interval since September 19, 2017; prior recording interval was 60-minute. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Site maintained in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Daily mean water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily maximum water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - The extremes shown are extremes of the instantaneous depth below land surface for the period of record indicated above. Highest water level, 50.20 ft below land-surface datum, Jan 25, 2019; lowest, 82.97 ft below land-surface datum, Sept 22, 2002.
