LOCATION - Lat 39°44'29.8", long 77°22'50.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Adams County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02070009, Carroll Valley, Adams County.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 234 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 20 ft, bottom of last opening 234 ft. Drilled observation well, cased to 20 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 786 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of platform; MODIFIED DATE FOR AQ MIGRATION; 11/06/2000, 0.95 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 16, 1969 to Sep. 5, 2003; top of platform, 2.82 ft above land-surface datum, Sep. 5, 2003 to present. Elevation of land surface is from Lidar.
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 2003 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform with 15-minute recording interval since April 2023; prior, 60-minute recording interval. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Site maintained in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Daily mean water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily maximum water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - The extremes are based on the instantaneous depth below land-surface datum. Highest water level, <35.2 ft below land-surface datum, May 7, 2022 (equipment malfunction prevented proper recording of data); lowest, 129.24 ft below land-surface datum, Nov 11, 2007.
