LOCATION - Lat 37°25'35.36", long 76°58'12.66" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, New Kent County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 02080206, northwest of intersection of U.S. Highway 60 and State Highway 647, 4.3 mi east of Providence Forge. Owner: Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 430 ft. Upper casing diameter 4.5 in; top of first opening 400 ft, bottom of last opening 430 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 29 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF CASING, 2.96 ft above land-surface datum, May 11, 2011, to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 2010 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 15-minute record interval.
REMARKS - Well is located in Middle Potomac aquifer of Cretaceous age. Records provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division. Water levels affected by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee in August and September 2011.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 112.70 ft below land-surface datum, May 15, 2011, but may have gone higher during period of missing record May 16-17, 2011; lowest recorded, 114.95 ft below land-surface datum, Nov. 8, 2015.
