LOCATION - Lat 37°02'33.98", long 77°11'41.86" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Sussex County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 03010201, 1.78 miles southeast of intersection of State Highway 602 and State Highway 625, on the North side of Deer Path Lane 800 feet west of its intersection with State Highway 625, 2.27 miles northwest of Newville. Owner: Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 350 ft. Upper casing diameter 4.5 in; top of first opening 330 ft, bottom of last opening 350 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 121 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Undefined, 1.89 ft above land-surface datum, Sep. 23, 2014 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 2015 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger, 15-minute record interval.
COOPERATION - Records provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
REMARKS - Well is located in the Lower Potomac aquifer of Cretaceous age.
