LOCATION - Lat 37°00'52.67", long 76°53'38.91" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Surry County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 03010202, Owner: Virginia Department Environmental Quality.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 220 ft. Upper casing diameter 2.50 in; top of first opening 170 ft, bottom of last opening 220 ft. Drilled observation well, screened 170 ft to 220 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 72 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF SHELF, 1.85 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 30, 2006 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2006 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 15-minute record interval.
COOPERATION - Records provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
REMARKS - Well is located in Aquia aquifer of Paleocene age. Water level affected by regional drawdown.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 131.30 ft below land-surface datum, Mar. 31, Apr. 4, 2017; lowest recorded, 144.15 below land-surface datum, Sept. 4, 5, 2008.
