LOCATION - Lat 35°18'10", long 82°37'42" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Transylvania County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 06010105, at Blantyre, 0.25 mi. northwest of U.S. Highway 64 on Secondary Road 1502 (King Road).
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 58 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 15 ft, bottom of last opening 58 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 2,147.5 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Three saw cuts in top of casing marked with yellow paint, 1.3 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 1, 1981 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1981 to current year.
GAGE - Water-level recorder collecting data at 15-minute intervals. Satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS - In September 1984, this well replaced discontinued well NC-127 (351808082374301). Well is part of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality groundwater network.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 17.99 ft below land-surface datum, April 19, 2019; lowest water level recorded, 42.23 ft below land-surface datum, December 12, 2008.
