LOCATION - Lat 43°33'02", long 115°43'19" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.34, T.3 N., R.6 E., Elmore County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17050113, Long Gulch quad., 0.16 mi upstream from Blacks Creek Road crossing and at mile 10.5.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,172 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2011 to September 2019.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage datum is arbitrary.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Anderson Ranch Reservior (see station 13190000).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 8,970 ft³/s on May 12, 2017, gage height, 15.69 ft; minimum discharge, 249 ft³/s Sept. 13, 2013, but may have been less during period of ice effect, gage height, 6.44 ft.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous water temperature data were collected from May 2011 to current year.
REMARKS - Numerical uncertainty is not currently computed for time-series water-quality records but qualitative ratings are provided based on professional judgment.
  • Water Year 2014: Records good.
  • Water Year 2015: Records good. There are 3 days of missing/deleted data from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30. 99.2% of the mean daily values will be reported for water temperature.
  • Water Year 2016: Records good.
  • Water Year 2017: The practice of using qualitative ratings to describe data accuracy was discontinued in water year 2017.
