LOCATION - Lat 38°41'04", long 104°41'17" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.05, T.16 S., R.65 W., El Paso County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 11020003, near middle of span on downstream side of bridge on Ohio Avenue, 0.2 mi east of Fountain, and 1.5 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 65.4 mi².

GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 5,530 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Aug. 14, 1991, at site on right bank; Jan. 1976 to Sept. 3, 1986, at datum 4.0 ft higher and Sept. 4, 1986 to Aug. 13, 1991, at present datum. Aug. 14, 1991 to Oct. 29, 2009, at site on right bank 110 ft downstream at same datum.
REMARKS - Water year 2014; no estimated daily discharges. Records fair except for the period Jan. 21 to Apr. 1, which is poor. Water year 2015; records fair except for flows above 420 ft³/s, and estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2016; records fair except for flows above 29 ft³/s, and estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
