LOCATION - Lat 45°00'25.60", long 107°36'55.47" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.36, T.9 S., R.33 E., Big Horn County, MT, Hydrologic Unit 10080016, on right bank 100 ft downstream from county bridge, 0.5 mi north of Wyoming-Montana State line, 1 mi downstream from West Fork, 13 mi southwest of Wyola, and at river mile 115.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 182 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Water Supply Paper 1729: Drainage area. Water Data Report MT-04-1: Drainage area. Gage height and discharge for the period May 11, 2017 to June 11, 2017 and May 11, 2018 to June 5, 2018, were revised on April 14, 2020, based on reanalysis of gage-height corrections.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1939 to current year. Prior to October 1940, published as Little Horn River at State Line, near Wyola.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 4,350 ft, referenced to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Satellite telemeter is located at the station.
REMARKS - Diversions for irrigation occur upstream from station.
