06190540 BOILING RIVER AT MAMMOTH, YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
LOCATION - Lat 44°59'06.48", long 110°41'21.64" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Park County, WY, Hydrologic Unit 10070001, Yellowstone National Park, on left bank 50 ft downstream from outfall, 150 ft upstream of mouth, and 0.8 mi northeast of U.S. Post Office at Mammoth.
DRAINAGE AREA - Not determined.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1988 to September 1995, October 2002 to January 2011, September 2012 to current year. Published as "Hot River" at Mammoth from 1989-94.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 5,666.11 ft, referenced to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (levels by U.S. National Park Service). U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter is located at the station.
REMARKS - No regulation or diversion occurs upstream from station, however, some flow is contributed by sinkholes upstream from spring.

WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 59.8°C, November 12, 2015; minimum, 34.0°C, June 13, 2022.
