02355662 FLINT RIVER AT RIVERVIEW PLANTATION, NEAR HOPEFUL, GA
LOCATION - Lat 31°08'26", long 84°28'51.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Mitchell County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03130008, on top of left bank 2.4 mi. downstream of confluence with Ichawaynochaway Creek, approximately 1.0 mi. south of the main house at Riverview Plantation, and approximately 1.2 mi. southwest of intersection of Riverview road and Roswell road.
DRAINAGE AREA - 6,930 mi². revised.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR GA-2013: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: May 2002 to current year.
GAGE-HEIGHT: May 2002 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage 75.9 feet above the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988 (leveling by Global Positioning System equipment using GEOID09).
COOPERATION - Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally good except for estimated discharges, which are poor.  Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-ga_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.

Flow regulated by power plants at Flint River Reservoir since 1921, with a capacity of 7,500 acre-feet; and at Warwick Reservoir since 1930, with a capacity of about 35,000 acre-feet. Normal operation of power plants does not materially affect figures of monthly runoff. Periods of monthly discharge only are not included in statistics computations.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 64,600 cfs, April 6, 2009; maximum gage-height recorded, 39.56 feet, April 6, 2009; minimum daily discharge, 852 cfs, July 7, 2012.
