DRAINAGE AREA - 1,480 mi². revised.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

DISCHARGE: March 2010 to current year.
GAGE-HEIGHT: March 2010 to current year.
WATER VELOCITY: March 2010 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder and an acoustic velocity meter. Datum of gage the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988 (leveling by Global Positioning System equipment). Prior to October 1, 2011, datum of gage is 9.5 feet below the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988.
COOPERATION - Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Water velocity records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor.  Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-ga_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.

Streamflow at this site is affected significantly by astronomical tides. By convention, the U.S. Geological Survey has established ebb (seaward) flows as positive flows and flood (landward) flows as negative flows. Unfiltered 15-minute stage, velocity, and discharge data are available upon request.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 51,300 cfs, September 11, 2017; maximum gage-height, 13.06 feet, August 26, 2011; minimum gage-height recorded, -5.04 feet, March 6, 2013. Extremes have been adjusted to NAVD88.
