  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: June 2009 to current year.
GAGE HEIGHT: June 2009 to current year.
WATER VELOCITY: June 2009 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder and an acoustic velocity meter. Datum of gage is the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988 (from U.S. Geological Survey levels). Prior to October 1, 2010, the datum of gage was 11.5 feet below the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988.
COOPERATION - Georgia Department of Natural Resources, WYs 2009-2014; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, 2015WY to current year.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Water velocity records are generally fair. Discharge records are generally fair. Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-ga_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.

Streamflow at this site is affected significantly by astronomical tides. By convention, the U.S. Geological Survey has established ebb (seaward) flows as positive flows and flood (landward) flows as negative flows.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 31,000 cfs, October 8, 2016; maximum gage height recorded, 8.37 feet, September 11, 2017; minimum gage height recorded, -6.76 feet, January 3, 2014.
Extremes have been adjusted to NAVD of 1988.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD -
SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: August 2013 to current year.
pH: August 2013 to current year.
WATER TEMPERATURE: August 2013 to current year.
DISSOLVED OXYGEN: August 2013 to current year.
TURBIDITY: August 2013 to current year.
SALINITY: August 2013 to current year.
COOPERATION - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District.
INSTRUMENTATION - Satellite telemetry with a continuous water-quality sonde.
REMARKS -
For period:10/01/2014-10/16/2017: Specific Conductance, pH, Water Temperature, Dissolved Oxygen, and Salinity records are rated good; Turbidity records are rated fair.
Data for parameter code 63680 (turbidity) were collected using a probe with the following specifications: turbidity, water, monochrome near infra-red LED light, 780-900 nm, detection angle 90 +/ -2.5 degrees, FNU (Formazin Nephelometric Units).
