LOCATION - Lat 35°49'19", long 78°21'08" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Wake County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03020201, on left bank 650 ft upstream of bridge on North Carolina Highway 97, .5 mi below full branch, and 2 mi west of Zebulon.
DRAINAGE AREA - 55 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-2013:2009-2012(M).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2008 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 232.70 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Oct. 1, 2008, at datum 2.70 ft lower. Satellite telemetry at streamgage.
REMARKS - Gage-Height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge 9,370 ft³/s (estimated), October 9, 2016; maximum gage height, not determined as the Zebulon dam failed during the Hurricane Matthew event.  Minimum daily mean discharge: 0.22 ft³/s, July 17, 2011
