Click to hide Water-Year Summary instructions and information
  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

LOCATION - Lat 39°37'33.8", long 76°09'27.9" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Harford County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02050306,
DRAINAGE AREA - 27,300 mi². from automated delineation using 30-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 2011.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
GAGE - Electronic data logger and water-quality monitor. Datum of gage is 9 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
COOPERATION - Funding for continuous water-quality data collection is provided by the U.S. Geological Survey.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: Feb 2014 to current year. SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Feb 2014 to current year. DISSOLVED OXYGEN: Feb 2014 to Sept 30, 2015. Parameter added back on 6/6/23 . pH: Feb 2014 to Sept 30, 2015. Parameter added back on 6/6/23.  TURBIDITY: Feb 2014 to current year. NITRATE: Aug. 2014 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Deployed multi-parameter monitor meter was equipped with integrated temperature and specific conductance sensor, pH sensor, turbidity, dissolved oxygen optical sensors. Also deployed, is a Nitrate monitor meter with internal temperature sensor. Monitor meters are connected to an electronic data logger (EDL). Data was collected on fixed 15 minute intervals (0 and 15 minute marks) and transmitted every 1 hour via modem.
REMARKS - For Water Year 2015. Turbidity values greater than 1,000 formazin nepthelometric units (FNU) exceed the instrument calibration range. Values are included in the record but are presumed to have lower precision. Missing record due to periodic instrument malfunction.
