LOCATION - Lat 41°12'27", long 76°45'09" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Lycoming County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050206, 1,900 ft downstream from Little Muncy Creek, 2,300 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 405, and 2.2 mi east of Muncy.
DRAINAGE AREA - 209 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-2006: 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 (P).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Operated as a Continuous Record, Annual Peak site (Annual maximum only) from 1989 through the 2018 water year. Oct 2018 to present, continuous stage only site.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage and weighing bucket precipitation gage. Datum of gage is 490.00 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
REMARKS - Daily discharge not available.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 2002 to current year.
COOPERATION - Water-quality samples were collected as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Water-Quality Network (WQN) with cooperation from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
REMARKS - As of October 2013, results from discrete water quality samples collected at this site are available through the U.S. Geological Survey National Water Information System web interface on the "Water Quality for the Nation" webpage. Analyses for pH, water temperature, specific conductance, and dissolved oxygen were performed on site. All other sample analyses were performed at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection laboratory in Harrisburg, Pa. Occasionally, values for filtered parameters may exceed values for the corresponding unfiltered parameter. These results are within the limits of analytical precision and methods.
