LOCATION - Lat 41°25'05", long 77°02'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Lycoming County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050206, on left, upstream end of bridge on Township Route 840, 0.5 mi downstream from Grays Run, and 2.6 mi northeast of Trout Run.
DRAINAGE AREA - 173 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 756: Drainage area. WSP 921: 1933, 1934(M), 1935-39. WSP 1302: 1914-16, 1922(M), 1923-25, 1926(M), 1927-28, 1930, 1931(M). WSP 1502: 1920-21(M), 1932(M), 1933. WY 2018 peak discharge revised on 08/01/2019 due to data entry error.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 1913 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 693.95 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to Jun 1, 1939, non-recording gage near present site at same datum. Jun 1, 1939 to Jul 20, 2018 at site 150 ft upstream at same datum. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for this station is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Records are good except those for estimated discharges, which are poor.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 2002 to current year.
COOPERATION - Water-quality samples were collected as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Water-Quality Network (WQN) with cooperation from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
REMARKS - As of October 2013, results from discrete water quality samples collected at this site are available through the U.S. Geological Survey National Water Information System web interface on the "Water Quality for the Nation" webpage.
Analyses for pH, water temperature, specific conductance, and dissolved oxygen were performed on site. All other sample analyses were performed at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection laboratory in Harrisburg, Pa. Occasionally, values for filtered parameters may exceed values for the corresponding unfiltered parameter. These results are within the limits of analytical precision and methods.
