LOCATION - Lat 39°54'58", long 75°24'13" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Delaware County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040202, on right bank 400 ft downstream from bridge on U.S. Highway 1 (Baltimore Pike) at Media.

DRAINAGE AREA - 30.5 mi².

REVISIONS HISTORY -

WDR PA-94-1: 1987, 1991, 1992 adjusted monthly and yearly summaries.

Revisions: Prior to September 23, 2024, the datum of gage was erroneously reported as 110 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1986 to September 1995, October 1995 to December 1996 (fragmentary), January 1997 to current year.

GAGE - Water stage recorder and crest-stage gages. Datum of gage is 100.0 ft. above North American Vertical Datum of 1988, from single-base GNSS static survey. Prior to September 23, 2024, the datum of gage was erroneously reported as 110 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Satellite telemetry at station.

COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the Delaware River Basin Commission.

REMARKS -

Upstream diversion during entire period of record by Aqua Pennsylvania Water Company (formerly Philadelphia Suburban Water Company). Records for water year 2014 are poor from Oct 1 to Sept 24 and good from Sept. 25-30.
Records for water years 2015, 2016 are good, except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
Records for water year 2017 are good with the exception of those estimated discharges, which are poor.
Records for water year 2018 are good with the exception of Feb15 to Sept30, which are fair, and those for estimated discharges, which are poor.
Records for water year 2019 are fair, with the exception of those for estimated discharges, which are poor.
Records for water year 2020 are good, with the exception of those for estimated discharges, which are poor.
Records for water year 2021 are fair, with the exception of those for estimated discharges, which are poor.
