LOCATION - Lat 39°55'44", long 75°16'22" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Delaware County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040202, on left bank, 5 ft upstream from bridge on West Providence Rd, 2.3 mi upstream from Cobbs Creek, 8.4 mi above mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 37.4 mi².  
REVISIONS HISTORY - Prior to March 10, 2022, the datum of gage was reported as 18.9 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) and 19.41 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29)
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Discharge: February 1964 to September 1990, and November 2018 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, concrete control, and water-quality sensor. Datum of gage is 18.1 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988(NAVD88), from GPS survey.  Previous to March 10, 2022, the datum was erroneously reported as 18.9 ft above NAVD88 and 19.41 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29)
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the U.S. Geological Survey -- Next Generation Water Observing System (NGWOS).
REMARKS - Records for 2018 water year are fair except those discharges greater than 200 ft³/s and those estimated discharges, which are poor. Records for 2019 and 2021 water years are fair except those discharges greater than 2,500 ft³/s and those estimated discharges, which are poor. Records for 2020 water year are good except those discharges greater than 2,500 ft³/s and estimated discharge, which are poor.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: July to September 2000, November 19, 2018 to current year. SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: October 18, 2019 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Water temperature and specific conductance probes on 15 minute recording interval interfaced with DCP.
REMARKS - Beginning in water year 2019, water quality records are not rated as "excellent", "good", "fair", or "poor".
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 3700 microsiemens/cm (snowmelt), Feb 7, 2021; minimum, 54 microsiemens/cm, Aug 4, 2020. WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 29.7°C, Jul 13 and Aug 9, 2021; minimum, -0.1°C, many days.
