LOCATION - Lat 41°29'58.7", long 74°33'08.0" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Orange County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02040104, on left bank 0.1 mi downstream from Bashakill Marsh, 0.3 mi east of Westbrookville, and 2.1 mi northwest of Otisville. Records include flow of Pine Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 63.7 mi². Includes drainage area of Pine Creek.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Drainage area was revised from 47.2 sq mi to 63.7 sq mi on Nov. 1, 2022, based on analysis of Pine Creek confluence with Basher Kill.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 2020 to current year. Prior to November 2022, published as "Basher Kill above Pine Kill at Westbrookville."
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and a combination concrete and steel weir. Datum of gage is 493.40 ft above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS - Water Years 2020-23: Records fair except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 997 ft³/s, Oct. 27, 2021, gage height, 8.24 ft; minimum discharge, 1.1 ft³/s, Oct. 26, 27, 2020, gage height, 4.86 ft; minimum gage height, 4.79 ft, Aug. 27, 28, 29, 30, 2022.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 29.0 °C, June 30, 2021; minimum, -0.1°C, on several days in February 2022, Feb. 3, 4, 2023. SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 271 uS/cm at 25 °C, Feb. 21, 2021; minimum, 35 uS/cm at 25 °C, Sept. 1, 2021, May 1, 2023.
