LOCATION - Lat 41°28'54.98", long 73°13'28.46" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, New Haven County, CT, Hydrologic Unit 01100005, on right bank 200 ft upstream from bridge on Poverty Rd., 800 ft downstream from Bullet Hill Brook, 0.6 mi west of Southbury, and 5.8 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 75.1 mi².

REMARKS -

Water Years 2014-2016: Records good except for periods of estimated discharges, which are fair.
Water Years 2017, 2018: Records good except for periods of estimated discharges, which are poor.
Water Year 2019: Records good except June 18 to Aug. 14, which are fair, and periods of estimated discharges, which are poor.
Water Year 2020 - 2023: Records good except for periods of estimated discharges, which are poor.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - The maximum peak flow of 29,400 ft³/s was obtained from the rating curve extended above 1,200 ft³/s on basis of computation of peak flow over dam at 16.0 ft. and by slope-area measurement of flow. The maximum stage of 21.80 ft. was from flood marks. Minimum instantaneous discharge: 2.5 ft³/s, Aug. 30-31, 1966.
