LOCATION - Lat 42°12'39", long 70°55'46" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Norfolk County, MA, Hydrologic Unit 01090001, on Whitmans Pond Dam, approximately 850 ft upstream from the gage, Whitmans Pond Flood By-Pass at East Weymouth (01105607), and 1,450 ft upstream from the gage, Whitmans Pond Fish Ladder at East Weymouth (01105608).
DRAINAGE AREA - 12.4 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Discharge and Gage Height: March 2002 to current year. Daily mean discharge records previously published under station name, "Whitman's Pond Combined By-Pass and Fish-Ladder Flow", station number 011056081, from water years 2002 through 2009, are now included in the daily and historical statistics for this streamgage, 01105606.
GAGE - Data Collection Platform with telephone telemeter. Datum of gage at Town of Weymouth datum. Subtract 6.67 ft from gage height values to adjust to NAVD 1988. Subtract 5.87 ft from gage height values to adjust to NGVD 1929.  
COOPERATION - Town of Weymouth.
REMARKS - Records are fair above 20 cfs and poor below 20 cfs. Measurements made below 72.47 ft are only in fish ladder and are considered poor. Measurements above 72.47 ft for stage and under 20 cfs are not considered usable. Periods of missing gage height record are not estimated. Flow affected by diversions for municipal use.
