LOCATION - Lat 42°15'22", long 71°15'38" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Norfolk County, MA, Hydrologic Unit 01090001, on right bank 0.3 mi downstream from highway bridge, 0.8 mi downstream from Noanet Brook, and 1.3 mi northeast of intersection of Centre and Walpole Streets in Dover. Address for phone or electric service is 25 Mill Street, Dover, MA 02030.
DRAINAGE AREA - 183 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

Discharge for the period Jan. 23, 27-Feb. 1, 2021, was revised on Apr. 23, 2021, based on changes to the estimated ice period.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Discharge: October 1937 to current year. Prior to October 1977, published as "at Charles River Village." Water-quality records: Water years 1975-95.
GAGE - Data Collection Platform with satellite telemeter. Datum of gage is 88.98 ft above NAVD 1988. Prior to May 12, 2020, datum of gage reported as 89.76 ft above NGVD 1929.
COOPERATION - Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Division of Planning and Engineering.
REMARKS - Records good except those for estimated daily discharges, which are fair. Flow affected by diversions to and from basin for municipal supplies.
NOTE: The historical instantaneous low flow of 0.50 cfs on Oct. 24, 1952 was caused by unusual regulation
