LOCATION - Lat 42°23'44", long 71°04'32" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Middlesex County, MA, Hydrologic Unit 01090001, on right bank upstream of Lock 2, at Amelia Earhart Dam, 1.2 mi northeast of Somerville.
DRAINAGE AREA - 62.7 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Boston Harbor stage records from June 12, 2011 to Feb. 7, 2012 are deleted.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
Mystic River Stage: December 2007 to current year. Boston Harbor Tide Stage: February 2012 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with GOES telemetry. Datum of gage is MDC (Metropolitan District Commission) Base. Subtract 106.68 ft to adjust gage height to elevation of North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
COOPERATION - Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Division of Planning and Engineering.
REMARKS - Records are good. Periods of missing record are not estimated. Frequent stage fluctuations are due to gate changes, lock operations, and pumping when necessary, at the Amelia Earhart Dam.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Mystic River: Maximum gage height, 107.61 ft, Aug. 25, 2010. Minimum gage height, 102.17 ft, Mar. 9, 2008.

Boston Harbor: Maximum gage height, 115.13 ft, Jan. 2, 2010. Minimum gage height, 97.67 ft, Feb, 20, 2015.
