LOCATION - Lat 42°44'35", long 71°12'32" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Rockingham County, NH, Hydrologic Unit 01070002, on left bank, at Hampshire Road, at New Hampshire-Massachusetts Border, 800 ft downstream from mouth of Policy Brook, 0.5 mi west of South Broadway (NH 28) and Lawrence Road intersection in Hampshire Road, 1.5 mi northwest of Osgood Street (MA 113) and Broadway (MA 213) intersection in Methuen MA, and 3.1 mi south of Main Street (NH 97), Bridge Street, and School Street intersection in Salem NH.
DRAINAGE AREA - 62.1 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Discharge: October 2005 to current year. Peak Streamflow: Water years 2001 to current year. Miscellaneous Discharge measurements: Water years 1973, 1974, 1998, 2001 to 2005.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, acoustic velocity meter, and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 100.14 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.

REMARKS - WATER YEARS 2014-20: Records fair except those for estimated discharges and those below 20 ft³/s, which are poor. Flows regulated by Arlington Mill Reservoir, Island Pond, Canobie Lake, and other reservoirs upstream.
