WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Depth 570 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 560 ft,
bottom of last opening 570 ft. Drilled, observation, artesian well.
GAGE.--Water-level measurements by U.S. Geological Survey or Maryland Geological Survey personnel.
Equipped with digital water-level recorder, Feb. 12, 2004 to current year. U.S. Geological Survey
satellite data-collection platform at well.
DATUM.--Land-surface datum is 140.4 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point:
Top of recorder shelter platform, 4.33 ft above land-surface datum, Nov. 19, 2003, to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--July 1979 to current year.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Highest water level measured, 8.14 ft below sea level
(148.54 ft below land surface), July 31, 1979; lowest measured, 77.97 ft below sea level
(218.37 ft below land surface), August 25, 26, 2012 (recorder).
REMARKS.--Maryland Groundwater-Level Monitoring Network observation well. Water levels are affected by regional
groundwater withdrawal.
